This traditional alcohol-based aftershave acts as an antiseptic to sanitize any razor irritation from a shave. Unpleasant as it may sound, bacteria from any razor and even from the face itself can get into the micro-cuts a razor can cause, and these are the source of the irritation and redness we recognize as razor burn.
