Oak + Leather Men's Mercantile was created to fill that gap.

We opened our first shop in downtown Holland in 2024, and our second location in Saugatuck in 2025. Both stores carry men's clothing, grooming, leather goods, barware, home goods, and pantry items, all from small businesses we've built real relationships with.

We built this for the man who wants well-made, reasonably priced goods from brands he won't find at every other store. And we built it for the woman who's been searching for a place to shop for him without the guesswork. We're the answer to "I never know what to get him."

Behind the Brand

Hi! I'm Melissa. I'm the owner of Oak + Leather Men's Mercantile and its sister store, Brick + Ivy Market.

What started as one women's boutique in downtown Holland turned into a family of shops that I'm incredibly proud of.

Oak + Leather started because I kept hearing the same thing from our Brick + Ivy customers: they loved shopping for themselves, but had no idea where to find great stuff for the men in their lives. The space was right next door. The vision was clear. And in 2024, we made it happen.

Every product in this shop is something I'd buy, gift, or use myself. I travel to trade shows, build relationships with makers, and spend way too much time making sure every shelf feels right. I love what I do, and I hope that comes through the moment you walk in (or browse online).
